    Life Hacks

Thanks to some of the suggestions here, I am implementing a "1% improvements" campaign - tiny incremental improvements that compound up to improve my life. Here is my Trello Kanban board with my starting list. Edit: It should say "chaise lounge", not "chess launge"! :ROFLMAO:

    That's feminists for ya.

Noted Doc. I am veering towards getting a marker pen as Bee suggested, keeping labels as a backup option as the Doc mentions.

    Organising clothes

Some great ideas there. I like Bee's hanging them on the door thing. It is a bit like the Kanban system. You have the columns ToDo - Doing - Done. ToDo is the wardrobe, Doing is the door hangers and Done is the washing basket! When I lived in Brighton, I remember having part of my wardrobe which...

    Is Political Correctness toxic?

I agree with much of what she is saying. It is interesting that not only 1/4th of women are affected, but also 1/6th of men. There is not much difference. Yet, the whole movement has morphed into a demonisation of men, completely omitting that men are frequent victims of sexual assault.

    Organising clothes

I have a number of questions regarding this and wonder what others do. 1. If you wear a t-shirt, or top, do you wear it again another day or does it go straight into the dirty clothes basket? 2. If you wear it again, where do you put it? I mean if you put it back in the cupboard, how do you...

    Life Hacks

I had thought about it long before then but not using a Sharpie, as I have never heard of them. But yes, some things you can write on them. My life hack for today is to put a pen near where you open your food pots! I didn't label my chilli paste last night as no pen to hand. Iterating forwards...

    Smartphones - cased or uncased?

Ok, I admit it. I've dropped my phone multiple times in the last year. The screen now has about 20 different cracks over it. Pretty messy to look at! It has a skin on it but no case. Do you ever drop your phone? Do you have a case? I've always been reluctant to put a case on my phones before...

    Life Hacks

Ah that is a pain. I started a new life hack last week. One of the problems I've always had is knowing when to throw opened tins, or condiments. So, I buy some cranberry sauce. It says use within 4 weeks of opening. But then when did I open it? No idea. I had an invention in mind that you could...

    Microsoft Access - seeking prophets

Interesting to hear your perspective Doc. I have designed countless databases for small (mostly) and medium (occasionally) -sized enterprises. It is such a wonderful app to whip up something productive. What would you consider to be the main competing alternatives to Microsoft Access that the...

    Microsoft Access - seeking prophets

This post is rather specific for this type of forum, but I am curious on opinions of where it might be heading. Is it slowly dying as a platform, or is there life in the old dog yet? I am so far behind the times on what is happening with Microsoft Access that I have no idea. My inclination is...

    God matters

God is the ultimate multi-tasker. I therefore propose that he was not male, as depicted in most illustrations of 'Him'.

    God matters

There is much talk amongst physicists over whether or not "time" is actually a thing. Is it just a human construct or does it have a property? So God had a creator too. A meta-God perhaps?

Hope you get well soon Bee. It 'tis the season for it.

    God matters

I like the angle, Insane. So God is not a 'thing'? God is 'nothing'? 'No-thing?' I suppose it depends on what you mean by a 'thing' and if God was in fact created. My understanding is the argument is that God was always there. So perhaps matter has always been there too, so it was never created...

    Life Hacks

What little tips do you have that help others improve their life? One that I am starting to adopt came from leaving my phone at the gym by the treadmill. I went into panic mode! Fortunately, it was handed it. But to reduce the chance of this happening again, I am employing a checklist when I...

    Do you watch sport?

I like to watch some football (soccer) and F1. Nowadays, I am trying to cut down the amount of time I spend on it, going for the highlights truncated version where I can. What do you watch, if any?
