What are you using Supermemo for?

Hey rajlego, welcome to the forums. What do you mean by "Input Hypothesis"? You can see the thread on my Knowledge Tree to get an idea of what I've got included: https://themindtavern.com/community/threads/share-your-knowledge-tree.14/

    Storytelling with art

I just watched an amazing video, showing how an artist can evoke strong emotion with their work. Take a look at this:

The Six Pack Challenge - accountability thread

Most people have a keg. I started with one. But currently, me = keg - part of me.

    Voting is pointless

Why do you feel disruption was required?

A new level of Hell (on Earth)

Bureaucracy does my head in. In many cases, I think it is "jobs for the boys". Let's make it convoluted, unnecessarily complicated and paperwork heavy. I sympathise with your loss of 3 hours 20 minutes of your life. For me, it is the dentists waiting room. It is all nicely lit and clean...

    Voting is pointless

I think he operates well in his bubble of chaos. It doesn't seem to phase him, which is remarkable. Non-military wars on multiple fronts, such as the Paris Climate agreement, Mexico, Canada, EU tariffs, Chinese intellectual property abuse, Syria, expulsion of Russian diplomats, unemployment...

    Voting is pointless

I am pleased Trump won. Let's disregard left/right politics for a second. The huge disruption he has brought upon America is the kind of shake up complacent politicians need. They get too cosy with the status quo, too comfortable with slow rates of change. Trump comes in and drops his chaos...

    Voting is pointless

Do you believe there is a Russia-like corruption going on with the voting system? I have to say, after watching a lot of news on the US election, I was astonished at the level of corruption, bribes, pay-to-play and so on.

    Voting is pointless

Nauticalgent, an interesting perspective. And no doubt there are many others that have a similar perspective. It is not mine, but it just shows how many different angles there are on this stuff! It is a bit like on the global warming.

    The trouble with Social Media...

It depends on the person, but quite high. Then throw in voting is futile and see what kind of reaction you get. People respond to gut feel in many cases. The indoctrination of the "norm" is everywhere. Think outside of the box at your peril.

Bother with #1 to reduce the inequality and improve life choices. Those with lower IQ's are more prone to violence and poverty. It would make the world a safer place for everybody. We might all have our own AI security guards by then, and one might go rogue! Regarding #1 <> #3, having the...

Indeed Doc. I've been learning the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold path using Supermemo. But I can never spell Buddhism properly!

Ted Bundy - this guy is notorious

I suppose you could argue that if someone was particularly weird in their behaviour, they have less camouflage and would be easier to catch. Ted Bundy was the ultimate chameleon, able to charm his way into many social circles, and change his identity multiple times.

    Voting is pointless

Nauticalgent, how do you mean it is an illusion of choice?

    Your job is...

Uncle, history repeats itself. So learning from history is a good strategy, IMHO. I like some of the old philosophers, like Plato, Socrates and Aristotle. To think that they had such profound insights all those years ago, without popping on the interest once! To answer Bee's question: 1...

    Swimmers rage

Perhaps it is a bit like meditation. You are not supposed to think of anything, clear your mind. But the whole point in meditation is redirecting your thoughts back to breath, or nothingness. Yet the harder you try, the more difficult it is. I should know because I've been meditating 10 minutes...

Ted Bundy - this guy is notorious

I've been watching the 4 part series on Ted Bundy on Netflix lately. I wasn't particularly interested in the topic since I know little about him except that he is a serial killer. But they have done a great job of getting you hooked! In fact, Ted Bundy was a fascinating characters. Very bright...

    Be aware, Notion is here!

Maybe you haven't looked at what the product actually does. We are all busy I know. But it isn't just a task list. Did you over-engineer using Onenote? If not, why suggest this app is over-engineering?
