Has divorce affected your mental health?

Anxiety is a bugger. I have it too. That sick, dread feeling that won't go away no matter what you do. Mine is manageable without meds and most days it's non-existant. However, sometimes I'll have a negative thought and won't be able to pull away from it, no matter how hard I try and the next...

    The Dark Triad personality test

We got the same! Perhaps it's a female thing? (Chuckles, knowing that the men will blanche at the thought....)

    Is IQ > EQ?

Is EQ actually a thing? IQ has been researched in detail, where I think EQ is a relatively new concept - and possibly stemmed from that awful book, Men are from Mars... Isn't EQ simply empathy repackaged? I'm not trying to be provocative with my questions by the way, I'm simply seeking to explore.

    Learning as an inelastic collision

Actually, I wish to clarify. The USA interpretation also applies in the UK, but if you describe someone as a 'hard knock', then it's because they are likely to resort to physical violence. There is a difference. Or, for Jon's benefit - a nuance ;)

I think, therefore I am - true or false?

Do they think, or are they simply programmed? They aren't sentient, so I'd err towards them not 'being'.

    Do pets think?

I was going to reply with something similar, Doc. One difference I suppose is how animals perceive time - I've owned dogs in the past and they get used to a routine, but I don't know if they actually perceive the passing of time in the same way that humans do.

Does large vocabulary = nuanced perspective?

No, it's an example. There are others. Stop being provocative. Besides, you have an app on your phone to tell what colour something is :)

Does large vocabulary = nuanced perspective?

Think about trying to describe a colour to someone. You might say something is grey. Which would be an adequate description. But, you could be much more specific to convey the exact shade: dove, iron, battleship, steel, and so on. So, yes - the wider your vocabulary, the more nuanced your...

    Learning as an inelastic collision

Interesting. In UK English, the term school of hard knocks relates to kids who are physically aggressive.

    Are you an atheist?

I disagree. Back in times when we couldn't even speak, the instinct and therefore group association would be to survive.

    Are you an atheist?

So you have to believe in a deity to abide by a code of conduct?
