What do you enjoy doing?

Personally, I enjoy watching movies, playing chess, learning about all sorts of new things. Eating is also a big thing for me, as a self-confessed foodie. I also like going to a decent coffee shop for a cappuccino and biscotti. Oh, and I love cake! (I go to the gym etc. but I'm not saying I love that!)

I also enjoy a bit of debating on the phone. Much of it seems to be about US politics lately!

What about you?

I also enjoy movies. I like boardgames and cardgames. I don't remember ever losing a game of Monopoly, which is good as I manage property for my day job. However, I've never won a game of Scrabble which is a source of amusement for many - and puzzlement to me.

I am going through a stale patch with food. I need to rev up my tastebuds a bit and cook a little more than I have been - but I'm either stumped for ideas for new things, or bewildered by choice. There's no happy medium, it seems.

I love people, so I socialise a lot. And on days off, I go to art galleries, or for a wander round London to see if I can spot anything really interesting yet not obvious. The accompanying picture was taken at Temple underground station last week - there are 270 different Labyrinth pictures around the underground, one at each station - this one is 100/270. The artist is Mark Wallinger and each labyrinth is different.

I also love good coffee and I am within very easy walking distance of the best coffee shop in town. That's where I tend to spend my Friday and Saturday mornings.

Sometimes I just want to escape into another world. Which is where first-person shooters sometimes take me. Particularly the open-world games. I love Skyrim and the other Elder Scrolls games... well, except that I can't play ES 1 or ES 2 on my system very well. They were for much older machines and Windows doesn't handle them well. I also like the open-world of Fallout games.

My OTHER escape to another world is my writing.

I forgot to mention, I do like video games too. Fight Night 4 boxing game on my PlayStation 3. Then on my PC, I got addicted to Throne and Patriots, which is a real time strategy game where you build tech, armies etc. and then blast the crap out of one another! :p

It is quite an old game but the game play is amazing. Think I've played it to death though.

Love watching films with the bloke! Mainly horror, however Ian is introducing me into the joys of Marvel films, loved Deadpool! Food wise, i eat whats in the fridge! Although I am a tea addict (Earl Grey)
I like a good debate, especially with Tommy Robinson supporters who sadly don't know how to debate, they just insult me. Morons. Also addicted to online card games, not gambling!

I love a good horror too. Any favourites? You can't beat some of the classics, like The Shining and The Evil Dead series, although the latter is really a black comedy.

Love Evil Dead! I have a thing for Jason and Chucky, they are daft but I like them but I do like intelligent horror. The Babadook is a great film. If you want to see a good funny horror" What we do in the shadows" is brilliant!

While Marvel films have a wide following and I have been known to enjoy them a lot, I have a secret thing for animated feature films such as Shrek, Wreck-it Ralph, Robots, Kung Fu Panda, Ice Age, and How to Train Your Dragon and some of the sequels thereof. Not all animated features are worth my time, but having two grandsons grow up underfoot at different times at our house, I've sampled quite a few such films. Some of them have more than minimal appeal to adults.

Yes, that is the one. Seen them all I believe. I remember some guy being pulled apart up in the attic or something.

It is your dark side...It is easy to get desensitised to it, so you end up needing more extreme stuff! Like Hostel!
