How are Mind Tavern members similar?

There seems to be so much division in the world: wars between the sexes, races, tribes, political parties and so on. Yet the Dalai Lama said that when you meet someone else, you are more similar to them than different. You are both human and have similar needs. The struggles of human existence are challenges for everybody, not you alone.

So, how are Mind Tavern members similar?

Let me start off. We all breathe air. We all type words.

We aren't deathly afraid of using technology when we type those words. Those who stay are willing to actually think about a topic before posting, and are more likely to "troll" only in fun, as opposed to more typical Internet trolls.

We're pretty smart. We think about things. And we treat each other with respect, even when our views are in diametric opposition.

And, sometimes (just sometimes) we listen to each other.
