There are many ways to skin a cat, but this is my way:
1. Read pdf (or physical book), highlighting as I go.
2. Periodically add these highlights to a Supermemo Topic. How? Create subtopic for book. e.g. Chapter 1. Create subtopic from there and paste in sentence.
3. Cloze delete the sentence once pasted in. This will create two learning elements underneath the subtopic.
4. That's it!
When I get to the end of a chapter, I try to then add the highlights to Supermemo. This prevents big gaps between reading and remembering.
